     Obituary of Della Hoyt appeared at Clay Center, Clay County, Nebraska, as follows: Della Fate, eldest daughter of James and Ellen Hoyt, was born June 13, 1894 at Colby, Kansas. She died November 28, 1974, at her home in Clay Center, Nebraska at the age of eighty. Della moved with her parents to Clay County at an early age and continued to live in the Fairfield and Clay Center area the rest of her life. She was united in marriage to Charles Fate on January 20, 1916. To this union ten children were born, four of whom died in infancy. Della is survived by six children: Merton of Danville Illinois; Arthur of Lavaco, Arkansas; Cleo Flesner of Sutton Nebraska; Clevia Barton of Omaha, Nebraska; Neva Faber of Sapparo, Japan; and Phyllis Gavin of Clay Center; twenty-two grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother: Walter Hoyt of Hastings, Nebraska; five sisters: Betty vonSpreckelsen and Eva McNinch of Clay Center; Priscilla Wood of Hillsboro, Oregon; Sarah Denny of maryville, Washington; and Linda Biggs of Ashland City, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, four infant sonse, two brothers and two sisters. Della was baptized into Christ at the Fairfield Christian Church. Funeral services were conducted by the McLaughlin Funeral Home at the Christian Church in Clay Center on Sunday, December 1, 1974, with Pastor Don Burkum officiating. Internment was in the Clay Center cemetery. Mrs. James Flesnes, soloist, sand two numbers, "How Great Thou Art" and "Just a Closer Walk With three" with Mrs. Lawrence Harms, organist. Pallbearers were Bert Von Spreckelsen, Bob Von Spreckelsen, Warren Deweese, Dale Livgren, Harold Briggs and Jesse Barnes.

Scranton and Alice Mary Weir, in 1894 at Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma.1 George Hudson died before 1910 at McAlester, Pittsburg County, Oklahoma; According to J. Upton Hudson Jr., George was a vigilante law enforcer and died in a gun battle.

     Marcia Hudson was born on 10 April 1943 at Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of James Upton Hudson and Beatrice Lydia Lindsey. Marcia Hudson died on 15 May 2009 at Leawood, Johnson County, Kansas, at age 66.
     Obituary of Marcia Hudson appeared on 19 May 2009 at Kansas City Star, Kansas City, Missouri, as follows: Marcia Deeter, loving wife, mother and "nana," passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on May 15, 2009. Marcia was born on April 10, 1943, in Tulsa, Okla. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Kansas in 1965, her love of traveling led her to becoming a TWA Flight Attendant. Marcia married Kirby Deeter in 1967 and became a flight attendant instructor in order to spend more time at home. She lived life to the absolute fullest and loved being with her family, spending time in the mountains, traveling, reading, socializing with her many, many friends and making life fun. She was preceded in death by her parents, Upton and Beatrice Hudson, Tulsa, Okla. She is survived by her husband, Kirby Deeter, Leawood, Kan; daughter, Kristin Deeter Steel (John), Scotland, UK; son, Hudson Deeter (Dori), Nashville, Tenn; granddaughters, Taylor and Julia Steel, Scotland, UK; brother, Upton Hudson Jr., Pittsburgh, Pa; nieces, Hope Hudson Pollack (Howard) CA and Lydia Hudson Skardon (Chris) SC; brother-in-law, Kelly Deeter (Margie), Topeka, Kan; niece, Gretchen Deeter Walton (Rob), Prairie Village, Kan; nephew, Jon Deeter (Leighann), Cleveland, OH; sister-in-law, Karen Deeter, NY; niece, Karla Rice Barnhill (Joey), Lee's Summit, Mo; nephew, Anderson Rice (Char), Portland, OR; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, at Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Village Presbyterian Church or to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
