Mrs. Fate, the former Beatrice Irene Baker, died Thursday (July 4, 1996) in Field Crest Nursing Home in Hayfield. She was born May 6, 1919, in Burnett County, Wis. She married Ray Fate on Oct. 10, 1936, in the Methodist parsonage in Dodge Center. Mr. Fate survives. She moved to Minnesota when she was 5 and has lived in Dodge County since. She worked for 18 years in the laundry of Fairview Nuring home. Her husband is a retired farmer and construction worker. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Dodge Center, the women's ministries and a member of the Senior Citizens of Mantorville. Survivors include two sons, Chan of West Concord and Troy of Kasson, and one daughter, Mrs. Francis (Starr) Burton of Cedarburg, Wis; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Loraine (Mrs. William ) Kroeplin of Gilman, Wis. She was preceded in death by one daughter, one sister and one brother. Friends may call at the Vernon-Czaplewski Funeral Home in Dodge Center from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and at the church one hour before the service Monday.
